Education

The education programmes for JT Systems International Group will be delivered by its group of experienced private higher education institutions (PHEI) called I-Systems Group of Colleges. I-Systems Colleges were formerly either known as PRIME Colleges or Systematic Colleges. PRIME Colleges mainly emphasised A-Levels and pre-university programmes while the flagship of Systematic Colleges offered accounting, business and soft skills programmes. I-Systems plans to combine the strengths of both groups to provide education from the lowest to the highest level to cater to the demands of society for graduates empowered with knowledge that is relevant to the workforce. By providing courses for the various levels, we are able to offer a complete education pathway for our students.

Vocational Skills Training

The provision of vocational skills training is the forte of Akademi ITC Sdn. Bhd. Having already established itself as the leading National Vocational Training Centre (NVTC) provider in East Malaysia, we envision Akademi ITC Sdn. Bhd. making continuos inroads into the West Malaysian market.

NVTC was conceptualised by the Malaysian Government to provide skills training that will meet the manpower requirements needed for the development of the nation. Since May 1989, the Ministry of Human Resources has been using the National Skill Certification System to improve the overall level of training in Malaysia, and to enhance the level of competency and professionalism in the country’s workforce. Under this system, NVTC awards the Malaysian Skills Certificate for five levels. Graduates obtaining the advanced competency levels would by equated to graduates of diplomas and degrees. The Ministry of Human Resources has made it its mission to give school-leavers and workers the opportunity to obtain national skill qualifications up to the highest level in various areas, including motor-repair and hairdressing. Akademi ITC Sdn. Bhd. aims to provide NVTC courses all the way to Level 5 in the areas of IT skills, Office Management skills, Electronic skills and Mechanical skills.

Foreign Workers Recruitment and Placement

The Malaysian Government implemented the policy on foreign worker employment in 1992 to promote the influx of foreigners to overcome the labour shortage in Malaysia. While the foreign workers have certainly contributed to reviving the economy, they have also contributed to an increase in social problems. In order to curb these growing social problems, the government has made it compulsory for all foreign workers to complete the induction course before they can be eligible for work. The course is intended to familiarise them with the national language, local cultures, local sensitivities and Malaysian laws. The success of this course has prompted the government to urge more Malaysian training providers to provide the induction course.

JT Akademi Sdn. Bhd. is an approved Malaysian Training Provider (MTP) that has answered the government’s call to conduct induction courses for foreign workers. We understand the need for induction to ensure that foreign workers are able to adapt to our society better.
