Occupational Safety and Health consist of many modalities namely OSH Laws, first aid emergency planning, risk assessment and control, HR Management, ergonomics and occupational hygiene. OSH is required in all organisations and industries, either public or private sectors. The minimum requirement is that an organization or industry must set-up a Safety and Health Committee to look after the occupational safety and health aspect of the workplace for all their employees. The Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health would serve as a platform for its graduate to pursue their career pathway and allow them to further towards a degree and master level which would improve the graduate’s job prospects. They would then be able to contribute towards betterment of the health and safety of the general public. The programme is also in line with the government’s policy in making Malaysia a centre for academic excellence. With venturing into medical and health sciences, students will be offered wider options in furthering their studies in occupational safety and health
