As our country developed and striving to become a highly income society, we can foresee an upward trend towards the economies of the construction industry as the demand for infrastructure are high to accommodate business expansion, as well as new emerging business from both local entrepreneurs and international industrial players setting-up their businesses in Malaysia. For Sarawak, as SCORE project roll-out, we can foresee a demand for new infrastructure to be made ready to accommodate these foreign investors business venture entrance in Sarawak.

The demand for workforce, especially TVET related-programme like our Diploma in Welding Technology will help to provide the rightfully skilled graduates to meet the demand for welding technology skilled work force which contributes to the shortage of this type of skilled workforce that’re required for infrastructure building and maintenance instead of having to import welding technology skilled workers from outside of Sarawak.

This programme trained students in welding technology skills in carrying out welding activities, planning and quality control of welding works. This is similar to existing programmes at the college such as Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Medical Assistant, Diploma in Medical Lab Technology, Diploma in Medical Imaging where students are trained on specific practical skills requirements in their chosen field of work.
